What are some of the benefits of choosing Superior Alarm over larger, national chain security system companies?
Being a home or business owner means that you have a wide range of options when selecting an alarm company. When looking for an alarm company that you want to protect your home or business, it can sometimes be tempting to choose a nationally known name or the one that is at the lowest price. But these options are not always the best. Superior Alarm Company holds a number of benefits that other alarm companies don’t.
Detail: Large national alarm companies do not always pay attention to customers specific needs. Usually national alarm companies would rather try to sell their alarm systems and services over the phone. Superior Alarm Company will always send one of our expert security sales consultants to visit your home or business for a free on-site review. All alarm systems are customized to fit your specific security needs.
Customer Service: Superior Alarm Company prides itself in excellent customer service. One of the best parts about working with Superior Alarm Company is that our response time is significantly faster than national alarm companies, which can take up to days, weeks or even months to receive service on your system.
Locally Owned Business: Being a locally owned business, Superior Alarm Company builds a strong relationship with our customers and the community. Doing business with a locally owned alarm company means keeping dollars in the local economy.
Can I arm and disarm my security alarm system remotely?
Superior Alarm Company can provide you with a Bosch remote security control app for your iPhone or Android smart phone. The smart phone app will allow you to operate your alarm system remotely. You will be able to arm or disarm you system, check system status and control monitored points all from your hand held device.
Do I need to have a phone line to monitor my security alarm system?
Today’s security alarm systems do not have to rely on home phones or other landlines to provide monitoring services. Superior Alarm can monitor your security alarm system using your internet or by installing a cellular monitoring communicator to your system. The cellular monitoring communicator connection is maintained by utilizing local cell towers near your home or business, so there is no need to worry about losing your security monitoring due to cut phone lines or other outages.
Do I really need a security system?
According to a report from Alarm System, there are over 2 million home burglaries reported in the United States every year and, on average, a burglary of a home occurs every 13 seconds in the United States – or about four burglaries every minute, 240 every hour, and nearly 6,000 a day.
One potential deterrent to home and business burglaries is a home security system, which, according to statistics, does have an impact on whether or not a burglary will be successful.
Despite the statistics and fears of break-ins, only 14 percent of U.S. residents have an anti-burglar alarm protection system like those provided by Superior Alarm installed in their homes.
Home and Business Burglaries – The Numbers
Statistics paint an interesting picture as to how home security systems and alarm monitoring can affect crime rates and home burglaries, and are worth considering when you are weighing the choice about whether or not to install a safety and security system at your home or business.
Over half of home burglaries occur during the day while residents are at work or at school. Homes with a lot of cover, such as from trees, fences, and gardens, are most commonly broken into. Most break-ins occur in July and August, and February has the least amount of break-ins on average. Statistics show that more than 95 percent of burglaries involve break-in by force, such as by breaking a window or door lock. In many cases, a security system could prevent homes from becoming a part of these statistics.
Pros and Cons of a Home Security System
The main reason to invest in a home security system is to deter crime. According to one report from the Electronic Security Association‘s “Home Safety Fast Facts” report, 9 out of 10 burglars said that if they encountered an alarm or home security system, they would not attack the home. According to a Greenwich Study of Residential Security report, homes without a security system are 1.375 times more likely to be subject to a burglary. Thus, in addition to precautions like window locks and deadbolts on doors, a security system is a prime candidate for your home safety options.
Often, one of the main concerns for people considering a home security system is the cost, which usually includes a monthly bill and any initial installation products and fees. At Superior Alarm, we have choices and expertise to help build a solution that fits your needs, your property and your budget.
Pros and Cons of Alarm Monitoring
In addition to investing in a security system, 24/7/365 alarm monitoring services are also crucial. Instead of just protecting your home, these types of systems can alert a company monitoring your home for you, send you messages regarding the status of your home, alert the police or emergency services in the case of a break-in, and so forth.
Another important reason to invest in alarm monitoring is for smoke and fire detection, which often comes as part of the security package. Whether it’s a cooking mishap or an electrical issue or spark from your central heating unit, fireplace, water heater, heating stove, it’s important to have an alarm monitoring system that can report the fire as quickly as possible to protect your family, pets and assets even when you are not at home.
